What is ADR?
ADR is the agreement governing the international carriage of dangerous goods by road, historically known as the European Agreement. It sets out requirements for transporting hazardous materials safely.
These cover packaging, labelling, vehicle standards and driver qualifications. The requirements for a shipment depend on its classification, quantity and how it is packed.

Check the supplier’s safety data sheet, particularly the transport information in Section 14, where available. Share the details with us before arranging collection rather than assuming a standard courier service is suitable.

Have the goods description, UN number, hazard class and packing group ready, where applicable. Include the safety data sheet if available.

Do you transport small loads as well as pallets?
Yes. Our hazardous goods courier service covers individual items, light loads and larger consignments of multiple pallets. Include dimensions and weight in your enquiry so the vehicle and handling arrangements can be considered.
Can dangerous goods travel on a same-day service?
Same-day options are available. The load, route and availability of suitable transport determine what is possible. Contact us with the shipment details and deadline before making a delivery commitment.
What if my shipment is for a medical or engineering business?
The goods themselves determine whether ADR requirements apply, not the industry sending them. We also offer medical courier services and engineering transport. Tell us exactly what is being shipped so we can discuss the appropriate service.
